Challenge Friday: EdD Mentoring and Advising Through Doc Student Support Groups

Date: Friday, June 25th
Time: 1:00 PM ET

Drexel EdD faculty are experimenting with various ways to foster and enhance EdD student support. For this session, Drs. Joy Phillips and Deanna Hill engage participants in an interactive activity with a student advising mechanism, known as a “Doc Student Support Group.” This mechanism expands the faculty conversation by introducing an innovative strategy that blends protocols (McDonald, Mohr, Dichter, & McDonald, 2013), communities of practice (Wenger, 1998), and cohort design (Browne-Ferrigno & Maughan, 2016).
