Challenge Friday: Joining the National Discussion about
Critical Race Theory and Antiracism in Schools

Date: Friday, June 18th
Time: 1:00 PM ET

Despite the vital need for critical race and antiracism curriculum in our schools (k-12 and higher education), efforts to remove it have ramped up in many regions of the country. EdD programs must respond in ways that center the needs of marginalized students--those who are most affected by these egregious endeavors. For us to respond appropriately, we must first dive deeper into the problem. What does this resistance look like (e.g. local or state legislation, organizational guidelines, etc.)? How is it manifesting? What are leaders, teachers, and students experiencing? Why is this happening? What might our role be and how do we engage in ways that that center and compel the needs of marginalized students?

Please join the leaders of CPED's Social Justice CIG, as we attempt to address these questions together.
