This interactive panel discussion takes participants on a learning journey through past stories, present colonial power structures, and reaching a turning point that nurtures change. Nicole Brouwer Dr. Brouwer is a European and Ojibwe (Garden River First Nation) scholarly practitioner and principal of a K-12 faith-based school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Wayne Davies
Dr. Davies is the (Red River Metis) Director of Student Teaching - University of Winnipeg with 32 years as educator and school & district leader in K-12 system, educational consultant, and author. Dr. Shelly Hopper Dr. Hopper is a Red River Metis scholarly practitioner and Anti-Racist Education Professional Learning Initiative Coordinator with the Community Education Development Association (CEDA). Lindy Phelps-Henderson Dr. Phelps-Henderson is a member of the Manitoba Metis Federation and the Red River homeland. She lives and works in Treaty 3 territory where she serves as the Indigenous Language Coordinator for the public-school board as well as the principal of Kaa’Naa’Matay Wiigiiam, a K-12 land based school.
