CPED February Wednesday Webinar

Generation Z and the Dissertation In Practice: A Mutually Beneficial Collaboration

Date: Wednesday, February 7, 2024

Time: 1:00 - 2:00 PM EST

In this interactive session, we will explore the characteristics of Generation Z students from a variety of different perspectives: the unique challenges they have encountered throughout their lives and educational experiences, and how the Dissertation In Practice (DIP) model can be ideally suited to their needs as scholar-practitioners and as professionals. Equal emphasis will be placed on helping both the students as well as the doctoral programs achieve their mutually complementary objectives: program completion and career enhancement. The session will follow a Socratic format with a brief introduction of key concepts followed by small group and full group discussions centered around case studies and scenarios designed to precipitate a rich dissection of the topic at hand.
