IRB and the EdD: Continued Conversations about Institutional Review

Date: Friday, June 16, 2023

Time: 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET

Extending discussion from recent CPED convenings, this session will explore the intersection of the professional practice education doctorate and institutional review boards (IRBs) as a common site of friction. Presenters will share findings from a qualitative study of EdD students' and advisors' experiences to foster dialogue about how programs can help students navigate institutional review. Attendees will brainstorm responses to authentic scenarios, ideally transforming our collective ability to support scholarly practitioners.
