Online/Hybrid CIG's April Synchronous Learning

 Multimodal Reflections to Engage Students

Date: Thursday, April 28, 2022

Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM ET

Tune in for our April synchronous session led by Dr. Rhia Moreno of Augusta UniversityShe notes that there is a tendency in graduate-level instruction to situate and measure student learning primarily through written production. In this session, we will discuss multimodal pedagogy, specifically in the online context, as a means to stimulate student engagement and as a foundation for “transforming consciousness” (Eisner, 2002, p. 1) through various types of reflective work including arts-based, embodiment, video, and artifact-connections. This session will present examples that can be incorporated into any classroom while also opening up space for participants’ ideas and collaborative discussion.

While sponsored by the Online/Hybrid CIG, this session is open to all CPED members.
