Online/Hybrid CIG's March Synchronous Learning

 Practice for Precision

(AIMS Focal Points: Accountability, Social Presence, Instructional Practices)

Date: Thursday, March 17, 2022

Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM ET

Tune in for our synchronous discussion hosted by Scott Lowery of Western University. Scott will lead us through a learning conversation protocol titled “Practice for Precision” - adapted for the purposes of bringing scholar-practitioners to greater precision in their thinking along all stages of crafting their Dissertation in Practices with cohort colleagues serving as critical friend analysts, peer reviewers, and/or feedback providers. During this interactive session, Scott will share how he has incorporated the LCP in his courses to consolidate thinking, and mobilize individual and collective reflective practices among cohort colleagues for instructional purposes.

While sponsored by the Online/Hybrid CIG, this session is open to all CPED members.

These sessions are part of this year’s Online/Hybrid CIG synchronous learning system. A concurrent asynchronous opportunity launches this month to share best tools and applications for online learning in EdD programs. Be thinking of your most creative strategies to focus instructional practices, engage students, drive accountability, and establish strong mentoring and advising relationships.  We’ll post an announcement next week for our new Tool Swap and continue to find ways to share our work in service of all faculty and students in our member institutions.
