EdD Student Research Forum

Building Community for Emerging Scholarly Practitioners

CPED is excited that the #CPED20 October & Virtual Convening will include an opportunity to expand participation to a wider CPED audience -- specifically, EdD students. This year, we are dedicating a day to students which includes a series of presentations and workshops intended to build a supportive student community within the CPED network. This will be an opportunity for students to present and share work in practice, along with networking with fellow scholarly practitioners.

The EdD Student Research Forum is free of charge and open to all students enrolled in CPED member EdD programs.

Dissertation in Practice Poster Sessions - Call for Participation

* NOTE: We are no longer accepting poster presenters, but will welcome observer attendees until registration closes on Oct. 2

The Dissertation in Practice poster sessions are an opportunity to share your dissertation work in progress with fellow EdD students and faculty mentors. The intent of the session is to provide open and collegial feedback on work in progress.

The in-session peer and faculty feedback will be guided by the 2020 CPED Dissertation in Practice scoring guide. We invite proposals from students who are preparing to defend their proposal, are in data collection, or, are preparing to defend their dissertation.

Specifics:

  • Each session will be 1 hour long.

  • There will be 5 students in each session, along with one faculty moderator.

  • Each presenter will have no more than 6 minutes to present their study.

  • You will create a 1 page/slide virtual poster to display during your presentation.

  • After everyone has presented, student participants will engage in discussion with faculty and audience members.
