This webinar will serve as a kick-off and introduction to the new Dissertations in Practice CIG. We will discuss the initial plans an d goals of the CIG related to innovating around the Dissertation in Practic e. Further, we will invite conversation from participants to help shape the future direction of the CIG. All students and faculty are welcome.
Presenters:
Leigh Graves Wolf is teacher-scholar and a Cl inical Associate Professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizo na State University. Leigh teaches with the Educational Leadership and Inno vation EdD program and is a faculty fellow with the Office of Scholarship & amp; Innovation. Her work centers around online education, critical digital pedagogy, K12 teacher professional development and relationships mediated by and with technology. She has worked across the educational spectrum from K12 to Higher to further and lifelong. She believes passionately in coll aboration and community.
Dana h Henriksen researches the intersections and influences of creativ ity and technology on teaching, with a focus on 21st-century thinking and l earning in the classroom. Her work has examined creativity among exceptiona l teachers, through an in-depth qualitative study of the creative thought p rocesses and teaching practices among nationally award-winning teachers. Th is research examines the practices and thinking skills of accomplished teac hers, through the lens of transdisciplinary creativity. It considers the co nfluence between personal and professional creativity, to consider how exce llent teachers translate their personal interests and avocations into creat ive teaching practices.
