Crafting Research Dialogues: Supporting Inquiry as Practice

in the Classroom

Date: Friday, February 25, 2022

Time: 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET

EdD students often struggle reading and engaging with research literature–they may only read to identify their interest in the topic, critique a research study from a naive understanding of research methods, or get so lost in an article’s academic jargon that they miss critical applications of the research. To combat this, we developed a versatile Research Dialogue Protocol that can be used in a variety of course/program contexts to help foster critical reflections of complex problems of practice, greater understandings of action research, and supportive communities of emerging and developing scholar practitioners. Presenters will share how they currently use the activity in their courses and facilitate discussion of how you could adapt this for your course/program needs!
