Program Description:

With the goal to provide leaders with authentic experiences, appropriate knowledge and skills that will enable them to succeed in organizational leadership positions, the EdD program at Regis College, enables candidates from varying backgrounds to consider learning through four analytic lenses/themes: 1) leadership, 2) accountability, 3) equity and diversity, and 4) learning and instruction; in addition to three unique concentrations: 1) Teaching and Learning, 2) Academic Administration, and 3) Institutional Research.  This three-year cohort model program, a Carnegie Project on the Educational Doctorate (CPED) model, fosters collaborative approaches to learning, decision-making and problem solving.  As well, a scholarly practitioner degree based on best practices leads to a Capstone project is required in lieu of a traditional doctoral thesis.  The structure of this EdD program is designed with the Regis College mission and vision, as well as the wealth of knowledge, skills, values and heritage of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston.
