CPED offers several awards to recognize the accomplishments of its member programs, students and faculty. These include:

Program of the Year

The Program of the Year (PoY) award identifies those doctoral programs that have a) adopted a mission, outcomes, curriculum, and practices that respond to CPED’s vision within the institution’s context; b) integrated the CPED principles and design concepts through all aspects including, but not limited to, admissions, courses, curriculum, signature pedagogies, assessments and DiPs; and c) evidence of program quality, continuous improvement and meaningful impact on students’ practice, their communities and the CPED consortium.

This award will be given annually to one or more institutions whose CPED-influenced programs show themselves to be distinctive, inventive, and useful to other CPED members. More information can be found here.

Dissertation in Practice of the Year

This prestigious award is given to EdD graduate(s) whose DiP shows evidence of scholarly endeavors in impacting a complex problem of practice, and aligns with CPED Working Principles. More information can be found here.

David G. Imig Distinguished Service Award

David G. Imig Distinguished Service award is presented in recognition of an individual who has demonstrated important contributions to the Vision and Mission of CPED and/or the reclaiming of the EdD as the highest quality professional practice doctorate in education.  More information can be found here.
