On-Line EdD CIG
The CIG for Online Learning in EdDs is a community of individuals whose shared goal is to enrich and improve the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of CPED-influenced online EdD programs. Through knowledge-sharing and collaborative investigation, members of this CIG work together in F2F and online formats to clarify issues, share resources, formulate strategies, and develop action plans that will serve to elevate the quality and performance of those who lead, teach, support, and learn in primarily online EdDs.
July 2017 Update:
The CPED Improvement Group for Online/Hybrid EdD Programs had a strong turnout and lively discussion at the June 2017 convening. Sara Ewell (Northeastern), Kat Mansfield (Virginia Commonwealth), Elan Paulson (Western, Canada), and Sherri Prosser (Johns Hopkins) presented four new initiatives that will be rolled out in the CIG community over the next year:
1. Online repository for an exchange of program materials, instructional resources, and technology/tools;
The goal of the community is to provide research and publishing opportunities, facilitated meetings, and opportunities for networking and exchange for all things related to online and hybrid EdD programs.
All members of CPED institutions (including program support/IT staff) are invited to join this CIG by taking the following actions. To join this community,
1. Create a Slack account: http://bit.ly/onlineCIG
