Welcome to the CPED Orientation!

This site is a resource for new CPED members to learn about the history of the project and to better understand its purpose and goals. Through completion of this orientation, new members should develop a knowledge base that will enable them to effectively contribute to the CPED initiative.  View the videos below for a welcome from the members of our CPED Team!

The CPED Team:  Dr. David Imig, Project Director; Dr. Jill Perry, Program Director;
Michael Neel, Graduate Assistant; Rachael Hoffman, Graduate Assistant

On this site, you will find an orientation module for each week from August 26, 2011 until September 30, 2011. Each module introduces resources such as videos and readings. After reviewing these items, we ask that you participate in an online discussion board responding to specific prompts and engaging in conversation about the module with other new members. Additionally, we ask that you complete the listed exercises to enhance understanding of the material and begin your institutional design-based research on your Ed.D. redesign. There are due dates associated with the discussions and with the exercises; these are posted on the web pages for the modules and on the Agenda page.

Thank you for your participation. We know that you will get a lot out of this orientation and will be well prepared to formally join the initiative with October convening in Vermont. Please note that new members will have an additional orientation at the Vermont convening on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 8:30 am until 11:30 am. The regular convening will run from Wednesday, October 5 at 1:00 pm to Friday, October 7 at noon.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns, and review the video below for further information about CPED!
